Dear Tim,
I will be blunt because I know you can handle it. Your career as an NFL quarterback that matters is over. You’ll certainly see some action in New York as a backup. And it’s not inconceivable that some act of God (in the form of a thunderbolt to Mark Sanchez’s ligaments or noggin) might get you back in as a starter. But neither the All-American apple-cheeked aw-shucks image nor your legions of flyover-state fans are going to help when the knives come out in the country’s toughest media market.

Owen Coyle
Bolton Wanderers Football Club were relegated from the English Premier League two and a half years after Owen Coyle took over as manager. It took a while, but it finally happened.
Coyle helped Burnley gain promotion to The Prem from the Coca Cola Football League Championship in 2009, and had the team looking impressive in their first Premier League season. (more…)

The 76ers and Celtics are meeting in the playoffs for a record 19th time, and their storied rivalry has included many notable regular season and postseason games.
This year’s matchup is only the second in the last 17 years; from 1980 to 1985, they met four times in the Eastern Conference Finals. Historically, only Lakers-Celtics is on the same level as a rivalry.
This series is shaping up to be a tight, grind-it-out affair. Could this renew what was once one of the fiercest rivalries in sports? Before we look forward, lets look back.

Manchester City beat Queens Park Rangers with two goals in stoppage time to win their first Barclays English Premier League title in 44 years. Coincidentally, they recorded 44 shots in the match.
Although I am a Manchester United fan, I have to congratulate The Citizens on their hard work and a well deserved championship.
In light of their accomplishment, I have analyzed the key factors in their championship-winning season. (more…)
