Every year around this time, baseball does a great job of highlighting the impact Jackie Robinson had on baseball and sports in America (if you have a teen, do them a favor and show them the movie 42). Recently, another talking point has evolved: the steady decline of African-Americans on MLB rosters.

Baseball’s new Wild Card format got me thinking – if I could change one thing in each major sport, what would it be?
MLB – Problem: I am sick of 162 games not meaning anything and Wild Card teams winning the World Series. The regular season used to mean something; the new one-game playoff helps even the field a bit, but it’s not enough in my mind. (more…)

The primary purpose of this blog is to discuss sports; focusing mainly on the
NFL, NBA, MLB, NCAA football & basketball, & international soccer. My hope
is that we can keep this original and thought-provoking; and that this will be a
place that sports junkies can come to the get their fix.
